Dear Auto Components Working Group Members,
The European Chamber is delighted to invite you to join the next Auto Components Working Group Meeting: China's Sustainability with its Strategic Implication in Automotive Industry and Our Observations in Automotive Semiconductor Development at 10.00-11.30am, 28th May, 2021 at the European Chamber Shanghai Office.
Decision makers in any industry will have "sustainability" on top of their priorities for 2021, and automotive, as always, is a front runner. Customers, esp. millennials and GenZ as upcoming most important target group, define sustainability as one important purchasing criterion. China is by far the biggest CO2 emitter worldwide and needs to take serious action to decarbonize as it nudges up its commitment to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and issued major guidance for future implementing. Along the years, we see strong push from government for NEV development in local market, so as the whole NEV value chain, from raw materials, battery technology, to the charging infrastructure. During the meeting, Mr. Ron Zheng, Automotive Senior Partner at Roland Berger, together with Mr. Jack Zhuang, Senior Project Manager at Roland Berger, will share with you the main observations in Chinese market, including China's sustainability strategy and its implications in automotive field, together with their up-to-date observations on China's semiconductor industry development.
