Shanghai IPR Working Group Co-Chair visit Shanghai IPR Service Center  

 

On 8th January 2009, Shanghai IPR Working Group Co-Chair, Mr. Douglas Clark visited the Service Center of Shanghai Intellectual Property (SSIP). It was to introduce the focuses of the European Chamber, in particular its IPR Working Group in Shanghai, present the Position Paper 2009\8/2009 and explorer the opportunities of cooperation.    

 

After warmly welcomed the guests, Director Li Yaoting of SSIP explained in details on the objectives and functions of SSIP. IPR Aid Center is a platform built by government to provide consultation and necessary aid services to both domestic and foreign patent owner and related parties. The Center provides various services, in which two might be most interesting to our members: Judicial Appraisal for non-contentious IP matters and Patent Trading Information Platform (www.shanghaiip.cn).   

 

Mr. Clark made a brief presentation of European Chamber IPR Working Group in Shanghai and proposed potential ways of practical cooperation between two sides.
