On 27Th March members of the European Chamber’s Shanghai and Nanjing Chapters led by KK Ho, Chairman of the Shanghai Board, welcomed EU Commissioner for Multilingualism Leonard Orban. During the dinner meeting participants discussed various issues of multilingualism in the EU and the globalised world in general and focused on challenges for European companies operating in China. Representatives of language training and translation companies gave the Commissioner and his delegation an insight in the issues they encounter doing business in China like for example visa issues for language trainer who are not English speakers.
