Meeting of European Chamber and Foreign Banks in Guangzhou13th May, European Chamber Office The European Chamber PRD Chapter is launching an initiative to create a platform for European banks in Guangzhou to facilitate the discussion among the banks and as a basis to approach relevant Government Authorities. Although we do not see a confirmed move towards putting emphasis on financial services in Guangzhou, there seems to be some focus on the part of the Provincial Government towards this industry. At the same time, we are seeing foreign banks setting up branches and beefing up their presence here in Guangzhou. We thus invite member and non-member companies in the financial service sector, which are located in Guangzhou, to join this meeting, in which we would like to discuss the possible nature of the proposed platform and set targets for the coming year.
