On June 20 The Second European Chamber Basketball Tournament was held in Nanjing, Ten teams representing member companies from a range of industries participated in the competition.

In this knock out tournament all of the 10 teams competed in the round-robin group stages. Progressing from these stages to the semi final were Home Caught, Nanjing International School, BASF YPC, and Siemens Numerical Control.

The heart of the enthusiastic audience beat faster than the bounce of the basketball as the scoreboard changed from minute to minute throughout the final match.

Just as they had confidently predicted, Home Caught took the title of Champions, beating Nanjing International School by the narrowest of margins. The final score was 26:25.

This tournament signifies much more than merely a sports event, it provides a platform for friendly competition and for the building of connections between people from both China and Europe, and Chinese employees working for Nanjing’s European Companies.
