On 21st October, a Chamber delegation, consisting of chairs and vice chairs of the financial services working groups, led by the President Joerg Wuttke met with Chairman Liu Mingkang of the China Banking Regulatory Comission to present the Chamber’s 2009/2010 Position Paper.During this meeting, Chairman Liu Mingkang spoke highly of the Position Paper. The two sides exchanged views on the main recommendations of the position paper (coordination of supervisory approach, transparency of the approval process and ownership restrictions). They further debated about the social and economic impact of Private Equity, the new Consumer Finance regulation and the results of the stimulus package.
