Helmut Güsten
Chairman
European Chamber of Commerce China
Nanjing Chapter

Dear members and friends,

On behalf of the board and the staff of the European Chamber in Nanjing I would like to extend the best wishes to you and your families for the upcoming year. We sincerely hope that it will be a happy, healthy and successful year for all of us.

Doing business in China is becoming more and more routine for most of us. Almost without noticing the business environment and the common business practises have evolved towards international standards. We can proudly say that the lobbying work of the European Chamber has helped a great deal to start and accompany this process. Of course we are not finished yet, but if we look back over a longer period of time, we have to admit, that our host country has come a long way. China has evolved from a low cost manufacturing base to a fast growing consumer market. This has become the foundation for a sustainable success of the foreign invested enterprises in China.

The European Chamber in Nanjing is committed to offer useful services to your company. I can only encourage you, to send the experts of your staff, your finance managers and clerks, your purchasing manager and clerks and your human resource experts to the workgroup meetings and forums we are offering all year around. Networking on all levels is invaluable for the success of your company. In this spirit we hope we can welcome you at many European Chamber events this year.

Happy Year of the Rabbit
