On 24th/25th August, 2011 the European Chamber Nanjing visited Xuzhou following the kind invitation of Mr. Wang Liangyun, Vice Director of the Foreign Affairs Office Xuzhou. Highlight of the visit was the reception by Mr. Zhou Baochun, Vice Mayor of Xuzhou. The delegation of the European Chamber led by Mr. Helmut Guesten, Chairman of the Nanjing Board, also had the opportunity to meet with senior executives of the local business community and to visit the cultural highlights of the city.

Reception by Mr. Zhou Baochun, Vice Mayor of Xuzhou Municipal People’s Government followed by a banquet dinner.

Meeting with senior executives from Liebherr, ThyssenKrupp and Vestas at the Liebherr Machinery manufacturing plant in Xuzhou.

Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group is the largest company in Xuzhou and also a leading construction machinery manufacturer in China since its establishment in March 1989.

Xuzhou is the city of Han culture with numerous historical heritages, including Han clay figurines, Han stone relief carvings and Han Tombs, which are called “Three Wonders of the Han Dynasty”.

Visit at the Xuzhou Concert Hall located on the north side of the Yunlong Lake.
