The Finance and Taxation Working Group (F&T WG) invited Cyril Lau, Manager, International Tax Services at Ernst & Young, to give a presentation on Cash Remittance out of China, and brief the audience on the appropriate enterprise model to remit 'trapped' cash back to an overseas parent or related company. The second speaker, Lea Gebhardt, Manager at PwC and Chair of the F&T WG, provided an update on the breakthroughs of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone. Policy highlights on the relaxation of financial sector and foreign exchange control and further opening up to inbound investment were disucssed.
