The Logistics and Trade & Distribution WGs visit Luchaogang Railway Terminal

On the 25th of September, members of the Logistics and Trade & Distribution WGs from the European Chamber in Shanghai visited the LuChaogang Railway Terminal which is one of the 18 national level central railway stations. 

Members were warmly received by representatives of Luchaogang Containter Terminal Stations: The Vice-manager of Shanghai Railway Container Terminal Development Co., Ltd, Mr. Jianping Zhao and the General Manager of Shanghai TS Logistics Co., Ltd. Mr. Deng Pan provided many valuable insights for attendees.

Mr. Zhao delivered a useful presentation on the current railway transportation development in China and location, services, information technology, characteristics and future development of Luchaogang Container Terminal Stations. It was followed by a lively discussion and a tour of Luchaogang, during which WG members asked various questions regarding to the specific transportation services and related facilities of this Railway Container Center, transportation networking between Luchaogang and other railway stations and logistic centers in China, and the future plan for service expanding in Luchaogang, as well concerns on the special circumstances of their own companies.

The excursion was a huge success in terms of gathering information on the capabilities of Luchaogang Railway Terminal and foreseeing the future development of China Container hub.
