European Chamber organized Presentation on the Achievements of EU Companies in PRD to Raise Awareness of the Achievements of European Companies




 



 









GUANGZHOU,  On 15th June 2007, the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, in association with the Swedish and German Consulates of Guangzhou, hosted a Presentation on the Achievements of EU Companies in PRD highlighting the achievements of European Companies in the Pearl River Delta (PRD) as part of its ‘We Are a Chinese Company, Too’ campaign.

 



 

 

 

 

 

 


This event aimed to raise awareness of the substantial investments European companies have made in China and the PRD in particular, and the contribution they have made to the development of the Chinese economy. At this event, several European companies presented their experiences and outstanding achievements operating within the PRD to an audience of senior Chinese officials, all Consul Generals of the EU countries in Guangzhou, the Swedish Minister of Foreign Trade, European politicians and prominent European businesses.

The ‘We Are a Chinese Company, Too’ campaign was initiated by the German Embassy, as Germany currently has the Presidency of the European Union, and has received the support of not only the European Consulates present in Guangzhou, but also the Department of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of Guangdong Province, the Bureau of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation of Guangzhou, and the Guangzhou Development District.

 



 

 

 

 

 

 


The event has been followed by a series of factory tour visit, including Swedish company Autoliv(Guangzhou) Vehicle Safety Systems Co., Ltd and Italian company Industrie Bitossi (Guangzhou) Minerals Co., Ltd.
