China IPR SME Helpdesk met with Beijing Service Centre for Intellectual Property Rights Protection ("Beijing 12312")

On March 4th, the newly established China IPR SME Helpdesk ("IPR Helpdesk"), a new project launched by the European Commission, DG Enterprise and Industry, met with the Beijing Service Centre for Intellectual Property Rights Protection ("Beijing 12312") at the service centre. Beijing 12312 is one of 50 IPR service centers in China.

The IPR Helpdesk team from the EU Chamber of Commerce and Development Solutions was warmly welcomed by Director Wang of Beijing 12312 and her colleagues, received an extensive introduction of Beijing 12312 and visited the service centre's premises guided by Ms. Wang. After the tour of the premises, the parties had a highly productive meeting, during which both sides expressed a high interest in cooperation and discussed a series of practical cooperation areas with regards to IPR protection for EU SMEs including a dedicated English speaking contact person and joint training sessions.

Following this successful meeting, Beijing 12312 and the IPR Helpdesk will work closely to ensure efficient cooperation in order to facilitate for EU SMEs in their China IPR related enquiries and issues.
