The European Chamber Nanjing Board Election will soon take place (April 9th, 19:00, Sheraton Nanjing Kingsley Hotel & Towers) providing this yearly opportunity for members to register their vote and provide input into deciding the future direction of the European Chamber in Nanjing.

This year four board positions and the Chairman position will be open for candidates. After overseeing the growth of the European Chamber since its establishment in Nanjing, Chairman Helmut Guesten has now served a maximum tenure as Chairman and will this year stand down. His input and guidance have been invaluable and we hope that the Chamber in Nanjing can look forward to a new Chairman who is able to offer the same level of support and leadership.

Board member responsibilities include providing support and direction to the operations side of the Chamber through ensuring that the chamber maintains and increases its function as a platform for information exchange among members. Direct input comes through suggesting future events and providing feedback on past events, contributing to meetings with local authorities and providing advice and support to European Chamber staff. Elected Board members will participate in monthly board meetings to discuss and review Chamber strategy and activities.   

All European Chamber Nanjing members are invited to this Election, but only those companies who are ‘Corporate or Individual Members’ for year 2008 will be eligible to vote. If you are unsure about your status with the European Chamber, please contact the Nanjing office for more details.
For those wishing to stand for Nanjing Chairman (1) and for Nanjing Board Member (4) please complete this Nomination Form. If you wish to vote and will participate in person please complete this Attendance Form if you will be unable to attend the election but will designate someone to vote on your behalf please complete this Proxy Form.

Nomination Forms should be faxed to the Nanjing office by April 1st
Attendance and Proxy Forms should be faxed to the Nanjing office by April 7th
