On the 9th April, official from International Affairs Sector of Shanghai Customs met with Ms.Adele WANG, Government Affairs Manager of EU Chamber Shanghai Chapter. 

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss future cooperation between the two sides. Recent statistics show that the EU remains China's largest trading partner and that bilateral trade between China and the EU has continued to grow rapidly. In general, Shanghai Customs has expressed its strong willingness to expand contacts and communications with European Business in the region, particularly through the platform of European Union Chamber of Commerce in China. In order to better understand each other's function and further facilitate future exchanges, Ms.Adele Wang presented to Mrs.XU, official of International Affairs Sector, a brief picture of EU Chamber in China from general background to core missions and objectives. International Affairs Sector was pleased to know that EU Chamber represents a unique voice of almost 1400 European businesses in China.  

In conclusion, Shanghai Customs and the European Chamber agreed to strengthen cooperation on events and to develop more on-goiong dialogues to ensure regular information updates from both sides.
