A delegation of the European Chamber's Banking and Securities Working Group led by EUCCC President Joerg Wuttke met with CBRC Chairman Liu Mingkang on Wednesday 22nd of October to present this year's Position Paper and exchange views with CBRC officials on various issues such as the coordinated supervisory approach of regulatory authorities, current inter bank lending market, lending quotas, private equity and data processing systems location.

Chairman Liu Mingkang stated the importance the Chinese government attached to the Position Paper. He pointed out that there are still some problems of supervisory organizations in China and European companies' suggestions and comments are very useful for improving performance of CBRC. Chairman Liu also commented on the current financial turmoil, saying that, reduced use of leverage, regulatory supervision and worldwide financial coordination are the crucial solutions.
