In view of an increasingly strengthened regulatory environment in the Chinese information and communication technology (ICT) sector, as well as relevant advocacy needs in this regard, the Cybersecurity Sub-working Group was established in February 2016, under the Information and Communication Technology Working Group. The sub-working group focusses on advocacy in relation to security-related legislation and any extension of such policies into
banking, insurance and other industries.
