Renewable Energy Sub-Committee Kick-Off Meeting

Dear Working Group Member,
As agreed during our last Working Group Meeting on 26th February, a sub-committee on renewable/wind energy should be created within the Group in order to:
Find solutions to some ongoing and imminent regulatory developments that may significantly harm the interests of European renewable energy players in China and that require immediate action
Actively follow up and participate in some industry specific initiatives that require frequent coordination and decision making (e.g. China’s wind power grid integration plan and its regulatory developments)
In the hope to better serve the interest of members who operate in the renewable energy sector, and to initiate well-targeted lobbying activities, we are pleased to invite you the first Renewable Energy Sub-Committee Meeting, which will be held next Tuesday, March 17th between 10am-12pm at the Chamber’s Beijing office. Please find below the tentative agenda:
Preparation of a list of ongoing regulatory developments and the related threats for European renewable energy companies during 2009. Discussion of an action plan for tackling these issues, for instance:
Preparation of a summary note with the conclusions achieved at the sub-committee Clarification request from the EUCCC to NEA about the ongoing regulatory developments Meeting with renewable energy department in NEA Meeting with European Commission for explaining them these challenges and try to find solutions for them Meeting with other industry opinion leaders (i.e. Shi Pengfei, Li Junfeng, etc) Other specific actions based on the results of the above mentioned plans Follow up on China’s grid integration plan Conclusions and next steps
