The European Chamber is delighted to invite you to a half-day conference examining the whole range of issues surrounding international compliance with a highly practical spin.
A lot has been written about FCPA and the UK Bribery Act. Multinational players have to follow the requirements of these acts and similar legislation in other countries including China. No doubt! In theory, we all know how to design and implement a compliance program. In practice, often a “tick the box” and “top down” approach has been adopted. But does this really work in China? Or do we need different approaches here to achieve compliance? In this conference multinationals will explain how they create sound compliance systems with Chinese characteristics and what obstacles they have to overcome in their daily operations.
