The University of Birmingham welcomes the opportunity of introducing to the European Chamber members in Guangzhou the IP offerings of the University of Birmingham, and to discuss potential of collaboration in IP transfer. The discussions will be held at the Guangzhou Centre of the University of Birmingham on 22 June 2012(Friday) at 10.00 am.

Background
The University of Birmingham is one of the world’s leading research focused universities, and one of the top ten UK scientific research clusters. By the end of 2010, the University has undertaken 133 projects funded by European scientific research institutes, and completed 1323 research contracts. The total innovations in file amount to 120 items.
The University has achieved commercial value of GBP2million in technology transfer by September 2011. Filing of 20 new patents and 15 technology license have been completed with a total value of GBP5million.
