Dear Working Group member,
We are pleased to invite you for the upcoming PCR and HR Joint Working Group meeting and Discussion Forum on the theme of ‘Talent Management in the PCR Industry’, which will take place on 10th of September 2013 from 3pm at the European Chamber Shanghai and Beijing offices simultaneously.
At this meeting, we have invited Mr. Matthias Speth, Senior Vice President Human Resources Asia of Evonik Degussa to speak talk about How Evonik's Talent Management system in Asia is ensuring to be a talent builder, and Ms Dan ZHU, Board Member & Chair HR WG of European Chamber and Managing Partner of SRC to speak about Matching People with Positions- Key in Talent Retention & Development.
After the presentations, we will have a free discussion on issues covering: Talent Management, Multidisciplinary Talent acquisition & development, Incentive scheme for Innovation Behavior, etc., including Q&A from participants.

Short bio of the speakers:
1) Mr. Matthias Speth: Before coming to China in 2003, Matthias was a global HR business partner for one of Evonik Industries (previously Degussa)’s largest business units globally. He started Evonik’s HR operation in China from scratch at that time and laid the foundation for HR to support the growth. In early 2007, he joined Philips as a Global Talent Manager in the global headquarters in Amsterdam (Netherlands). He returned to Shanghai in 2009 in the capacity as Senior Vice President Human Resources for Schaeffler Group overseeing human resources, communication and security for 13000 employees across Asia Pacific. In 2013 Matthias returned to Evonik as Senior VP Human Resources, based in Shanghai. At present, he is tasked to leverage his broad experience in human capital development for the entire Asia Pacific region. Matthias has more than 15 years of experience in HR in industries such as pharmaceutical, chemical, mechanical engineering and automotive. Matthias has a Master’s degree in Economics with a major in Human Resources Management and International Business from the University of Applied Sciences in Mainz. He also studied at the Ecole Supérieure du Commerce Extérieur in Paris.
2) Ms. Dan ZHU is an EUCCC Board Member ( since 2013) and Chair/ Vice Chair of HR WG ( since 2008), serving MNC clients in Talent Selection & Organization Development since 1997. She holds a Master in Education from Emory University USA and MBA from Nyenrode University the Netherlands. Has been one of the key organizers of the EUCCC’s annual HR Conference since 2008. She also teaches China HR & Leadership in CELAP ( National Party School in Shanghai) , Antwerp Management School ( Belgium) and Royal Tropical Institute ( the Netherlands & China). She is a regular column writer for a national career journal 《职场》,where many career cases are shared and analyzed with insight, and recommended with no nonsense advisory and solution
