The European Chamber is delighted to introduce the Members In-House event format. This format offers Chamber members the option to utilize our office facilities and marketing channels to present their products and services.
The European Chamber welcomes HEC Paris EMBA Shanghai Programme to initiate the Member In-House event.
The lecture given by Mr. Francois-David Martino, General Manager, Supply Chain Management of Metal Technologies, Siemens Ltd. China, will be about the "Good Enough Strategy in China". After the surge development of Chinese economy, multinationals and local firms are squaring off in China’s rapidly growing middle market. This new battleground is emerging for companies seeking to establish, sustain, or expand their presence in China: It’s the “good-enough” market segment, home of reliable-enough products at low-enough prices to attract the cream of China’s fast-growing cohort of midlevel consumers.
Mr. Martino will elaborate why start-up companies developing and releasing new products and services don’t necessarily need to aim for perfection to make inroads against established players. He will also discuss the importance of China as a lead market, how and when to enter China’s middle market, and by which means companies can compete effectively in the good-enough segment.
