The European Chamber of Commerce in China is delighted to invite you to a Breakfast Seminar with Yao Wei, China Economist of Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking, on 19 April 2013.
The Chinese leadership has undergone a once-in-a-decade transition. The new leaders will have little time to celebrate, given the daunting and pressing challenges at hand. Simply put, the new leaders will have to do more (social good) with less (economic growth), while deflating the risks built up over many years in the least painful manner. If the new leaders take timely and wise decisions to readjust the course of development, the Chinese economy will be a factor of stable - albeit slower - growth and low risk for the world. We have hopes that China will eventually come through but we do not expect a smooth path. China will change, either willingly or unwillingly. Unwillingly, and the process will be long and painful. Willingly, and the changes will be good for China and the world, but still painful when they first begin.
Join the Breakfast Seminar to discuss these and further topics about China's current transition.
