The Europe China Heating Initiative was created in 2002. It consists of 14 leading European manufacturers, active on the Chinese market for heating appliances. These companies produce highly efficient and renewable-based heating technologies, as well as heating components. In 2016, the Europe China Heating Initiative became a sub-working group of the Construction Working Group. Together with its parent group, the initiative strives to promote
advanced European heating technology relating to eco-friendly heating and hot water systems; to strengthen dialogues with Chinese regulators on domestic standards and certification; to assist in China’s efforts to implement the highest international standards in the heating sector; and to contribute to sustainable development via appropriate technological training.
