Job description
European Chamber Southwest Chapter is looking for a Marketing Coordinator/Assistant, whose main duties are,
1. Events planning & organisation
- To make yearly event plan and define topics, speakers, etc. for events with the General Manager
- To organize events, and make sure that every logistic detail is taken care of and to deal with suppliers (hotels, translators, food & beverages, backdrops, summaries, etc.)
- To provide on-site management
- To draft and send out invitations by diverse means
- To make phone call invitations to companies and partner organisations to make sure that target number of participants are reached
- To prepare meetings budgets and gain approval by GM/ board
- To prepare sponsorship documents, potential sponsor research to promote the event through diverse channels
- To sell sponsorships
2. Media relations & development of Chamber branding
- To develop and exploit Chamber branding strategy & action plans for both Chengdu & Chongqing,
- To maintain close relationship, negotiate and develop partnerships with diverse media, such as magazines, newspapers, TV channels, etc.
- To coordinate with marketing related colleagues in other chapters
- To participate in diverse networking events
3. Chamber publication & marketing materials development
- To draft, updated, develop and manage all chamber related publications and communication materials (Chamber presentation, e-newsletter, bulletin, Eurobiz, BD, BCS, BS, etc.) and make sure that our events, news, etc. are promoted at maximum
- To sell advertisements
4. Event Sponsor sales and advertisement sales
- To prepare and draft meeting invitation both to government officials and to member managers
- To interpret during the meeting
- To take notes and draft meeting minutes
5. Support on Government relations
- To make sure that the office materials are adequate
- To make sure that postals are done & back-uped correctly
- To update our database
This position reports to General Manager in Southwest Chapter directly.
