About the company
The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China was founded in 2000 by 51 member companies that shared a goal of establishing a common voice for the European businesses operating in China. It is a members-driven, non-profit, fee-based organization with a core structure of over 25 working groups and forums representing European business in China.
The European Chamber now has more than 1700 members in 7 chapters operating in 9 cities: Beijing, Nanjing, Shanghai, Shenyang, South China (Guangzhou and Shenzhen), Southwest China (Chengdu and Chongqing), and Tianjin.
The Chamber is recognised as the official voice of European business in China.
Job description
-
Supporting with on-site management of events, including registration, welcoming, and logistics support

Pre-events support, including but not limited to: Updating the biographies of the speakers and logistics support

Post-events support, including but not limited to: invoicing support, event summary and event photo gallery work

Administrative work: database management, maintenance and improvement, support with translations English -Chinese and Chinese - English and preparation of agreements in both languages

Assisting the events team to drive attendance, build awareness, facilitate registration and support identifying key channels to reach the target audience

Participate in project work as required by the team, such as: research on potential topics, new online platforms for event promotion, identification of new media and venue partners

Support the team in all stages of small and large-scale events planning, including activities such as: Marketing Forum events, large Conferences, seminars, training programs, social events and sports related events

Other duties as required by the Marketing / Events Manager
Skills & experience

Excellent command of spoken and written English

Students major in English and European Languages / Marketing / Communications / International Business / International Relations preferred

Ability to communicate effectively with persons inside and outside of the organisation

Ability to multi task, plan, organize and prioritize work independently

Initiative driven by passion

Serve more than 3 months and more than 3 full days a week in person
Bonus: The intern (Chinese nationality) will receive a stipend of 100 RMB (net) per working day of the internship onwards. International interns will not receive stipend according to the local regulations. Upon successful and outstanding completion of the internship, a letter of recommendation will be provided.

This internship runs for three to six months.
