The European Chamber of Commerce in China is an independent, non-profit organization representing the interests of European enterprises in China. The Chamber is seeking greater market access and improved operating conditions for European companies in China. To strengthen the Chamber’s Government Affairs team, we offer an internship position at the Chamber’s Beijing office. We offer regular training, an international and English working environment and an insight into the working style of multinational companies.
The current intern position will support Chamber’s financial working groups and inter-chamber SME working group.
Major Duties:
- Organization and taking minutes of meetings
- Translation of various kinds of documents
- Communication with member companies
- Preparation of the weekly newsletter
- Handling of incoming mail and calls
- Doing research on issues designated by line managers
Skills & experience
- University student, bachelor of third year or above. Graduate student is preferred
- Major: English, Economics, Management, Public Policy, International Relations and other
relevant social science degrees are preferred
- Good oral and written command of Chinese and English
How to apply
Duration (discussible): 5 days per week, 6 months (Preferably)
Start: In the early May, 2018 (Preferably)
Please kindly note that this position is a non-paid internship position for the first three months. Starting from the 4thmonth, the intern will receive a monthly stipend of RMB2000. Upon completion of a six-month internship, the intern will receive a recommendation letter signed by the Secretary General of Chamber for future reference.
