Job description
European Chamber is looking for an editor to work in the Marketing Team and help shape the way the Chamber engages with its stakeholders s via digital channels.
The editor collaborates with the internal and external stakeholders to transform digital content across all channels, notably the website and social media.
Under the management of Marketing Manager in Beijing Chapter, the editor’s primary responsibilities will be:
- A strong grasp of social and digital platforms, and the content required to generate engagement and support business objectives
- Edit the Chamber national newsletter, newsletter from local chapters and the events promotion materials
- Play a key role to ensure Chamber messages are communicated and distributed effectively and consistently through the online channels
- Input in Chinese and EU GA-related work
- Work closely with local chapter teams and other functional teams
- Develop new communication initiatives serving for advocacy
- Participate in new project development and/or presentations
- Proofread the Chamber print publications if required.
Skills & experience
- Native English speaker
- Exceptional writing and editing skills to organise content/information in a clear, reader-friendly, structural manner is essential
- Have hands-on experience with content management, including: writing for the web, analytics and measurement reporting, search engine optimisation, image, audio and video production
- Good knowledge of and interest in the Chinese commercial, economic and political environment
- Attention to detail, excellent project management skills, independent worker, self-motivated
- Interpersonal skills – motivate peers, members, partners and other stakeholders to provide content
- Organised and professional, and must be able to work well in a multi-cultural office environment and coordinate well with colleagues in other cities
- Other European languages and Mandarin are a plus.
- Willingness to travel occasionally
- At least 1-year previous experience working in a similar role
- A bachelor's degree in English literature or communications is preferred
