Job description
The primary responsibilities of the Membership Manager are to promote the European Chamber to new and existing members, manage relations with members, and communicate membership benefits and activities to members and other interested parties.
Membership development
· Development of the membership of the Tianjin chapter according to monthly and annual targets
· Preparation of potential members lists and of focused membership development campaigns
· Contact, meet and provide information to potential members according to the development campaign
· Contact and follow up with all non-members participating European Chamber events, WG and Forum meetings
Membership retention
· Managing member relations for the Chamber through telephone, email and face-to-face communication to reach and exceed targets of new membership by providing exceptional standards of customer relationship management
· Developing membership sales plans to ensure the Chamber's membership targets are met
· Actively organizing and managing membership campaigns
· Developing and updating regular reports on membership levels and sales campaigns, and providing progress reports to senior management
· Developing and maintaining close relations with potential members and members
· Dealing with membership inquiries
· Working with the Events Manager to maintain the membership database
· Collecting contact details for Working Groups/Forms from new members and forwarding to relevant Business Managers, replying to new members queries or putting them in touch with relevant person in the office
· Invite personally (by email or phone call) new members to events that might be of special interest to them
Forum Management
· Identification of topics and organisation of forum meetings in collaboration with Chairs
· Preparation of agenda, publication on the website, preparation of material, drafting of minutes and writing of articles in local newsletter for forum meetings
· Writing of annual reports for forum
· Completion of specific research on forum related issues and regulations
· Exchange with working groups and forums of other European Chamber offices
· Organization and promotion of new forum
· Development of contacts with all members and identification of potential members
· Update of the distribution lists for forum members
Events supporting and others
· To support in annual signature event (EU family day, Gala dinner, Government affair events, etc.)
· Any other activity or task as directed by the GM according to need
Skills & experience
Qualifications
· University degree in a politics, marketing, sales or business-related subject
· At least 2 years of related experience in a sales, customer relations, program management or business development role
·Near native English speaker is a must, outstanding verbal and written communicator
· A passion for sales and delivering targets
· Strongly customer-focused and target driven
· Good organizational skills
· Strong communication skills
· Outgoing, flexible and proactive, with a team-player attitude
