In this position as a Government Affairs and Events Assistant, one should be responsible for (but not limited to):

Responsible for research tasks related to business and government affairs:
-Conduct research support according to the direction of the Business and Government Affairs Manager;
-Provide support for surveys;
Responsible for Working Group(WG)/Forum and Government Affairs:
-Creating and updating charts as requested by the Manager,
-Provide translation assistance related to government communication but not limited to that,
-Update Government Offices contact list database,
-Update WG/Forums Mailing Lists,
-Provide writing support for the lobby letters from the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China to the government.
Responsible for tasks related to events management:
-Update the European Chamber’s website for planned events in Guangzhou,
-Send invitations through our system or personal emails and making phone calls,
-Create registration lists for the respective events in Guangzhou,
-Events Attendance - Responsible for the registration desk (set up, banners, brochures, registration lists, collecting entrance fees, issuing receipts, photos, etc.) of the events in Guangzhou.
Responsible for tasks related to office administration:
-Learn the various office functions to help contribute to a stable work flow and execute these in own accord or under guidance, e.g. manage name cards printing and stock, water supply, stationery, copier/printing machine cartridge, etc.
