Job description
1. Leads the development and implementation of the supply base strategy of the company as integral part of the business strategy in order to improve cost effectiveness, delivery and quality in the longer term.
2. Balance commercial aspects (price and volume) and technical capabilities to enable the optimization of the business on both short and long term perspective.
3. Participates in the development and deployment of company’s overall supply management policy and commodity strategies throughout the supply management function.
4. Co-works with Corporate Supply Chain Director teams in Italia throughout the whole process of global sourcing.
5. Measures and communicates achievements and contributions (savings, optimization on TWC etc.)
6. Builds supply market intelligence, new technology roadmaps per commodity and ensures that supply market data is available to support business decisions.
7. Ensures that cost, flexibility, quality, delivery and long-term assurance of supply objectives with the supply base are established and achieved.
8. Provides direction and management leadership for supplier relationships, supplier negotiations & supplier performance measurement feedback programs.
9. Manages top-level executive relationships with key suppliers
10. Provides (functional) leadership to ensure professional knowledge, means and human competencies are at the required levels.
11. Develops capabilities of the team to meet business needs, measuring performance.
Skills & experience
1. About 7 years of experience in the supply management field with a minimum of five years of commodity management expertise
2. Experience in Supply Chain Management
3. Good writing and reading English skills
4. Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across functions and organizations, especially with Engineering, Quality, Planning and Finance.
5. Strong ability to lead people and teams.
6. Proven global skills. Experience in cross-cultural, global and cross-functional environment
7. Excellent management skills both process and organizational
8. Strong ability to think strategically and lead strategy development process
