Job description
The European Chamber is a lobbying organisation and as part of the work of the Chamber offers a variety of events to members and the general public. The Events Assistant in Beijing will report directly to the Events Coordinator. The internship will start from the end of June, 4-5 days per week and longing for at least 3 months. You need to accomplish mainly administration works such as logistics and promotion tasks, draft profit summaries, assist with the issuing and distribution of invoice, in which any mistake should be avoided.
1. Assisting the Beijing Event Coordinator in the planning and implementation of forums, summits, conferences, high-level dinners and all large-scale functions the European Chamber Beijing office coordinates and hosts.
2. Proposing and developing relevant events for the European Chamber in cooperation with the Events Coordinator and other Chamber staff.
3. Project managing small-scale events from planning through implementation, under guidance of Events Coordinator.
4. Monitoring and collation of registrations for events.
5. Maintaining the events content on the company website.
6. Budget controlling for events – developing and submitting timely event profit summaries.
7. Coordinate with finance team about finance-related matters including Fapiao issuing, payment chasing and financial report check-up.
8. Assisting the Beijing Sponsorship team in the administrative work
Skills & experience
1. High level of fluency in both Chinese and English, especially excellent English oral and writing skills are required. Knowledge of other European Languages could be an asset
2. Sponsorship/Events experience preferred (but not a must)
3. High degree of accuracy and patience (very important)
4. Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, internet research)
5. Strong organizational and communication skills, Initiative and results-driven, flexible, proactive attitude
6. 4-5 days per week and for at least 3 consecutive months
