The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China was founded in 2000 by 51 member companies that shared a goal of establishing a common voice for the various business sectors of the European Union and European businesses operating in China. It is a members-driven, non-profit, fee-based organization with a core structure of 26 Working Groups and 9 Fora representing European business in China.
Job description
The intern will have an orientation on event management and will mainly undertake the tasks related to the upcoming 11th Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Awards which is scheduled to be held in November in Nanjing Chapter.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-event:
· Familiar with the 11th CSR Awards event, e.g. the past event structure
· Draft and Update the content in the website for the 11th CSR Awards
· Get contact and follow up with the judges or potential judges
· Manage the student art competition: reach to the schools and recruit the students to participate, collect the pictures and grouping them before deadline
· Design the CSR poster, slogan and welcome your innovative idea to this event!
On-site:
· Work with and support the Event Manager with on-site management, including registration, welcoming, and logistics support.
· Moderate this event.
After-event:
· Post-events support, including draft the event summary and event photo gallery work.
· Draft the CSR after-event booklet.
Others:
· Participate in project work as required by the team, such as: translate between English and Chinese, research on potential topics, update member list database, etc.
· Work with and support the Membership Manager, create and deliver membership renewal and recruitment campaigns to meet Nanjing chapter revenue targets.
· Support to create and maintain relationships with potential and existing members.
Skills & experience
Qualifications:
· English native speaker, outstanding verbal and written communicator in Chinese and English
· Bachelor’s degree in a politics, marketing, sales or business-related subject
· Internship experience in a sale, event, PR, customer relations, project management or business development role will be preferred.
· Possess excellent Excel, Word, PPT, and video editing skills.
· Strongly customer-focused & target driven, and an ability to work independently.
· Knowledge and experience of WeChat public account management is key in the successful execution of our projects.
· Outgoing, flexible and proactive, with a team-player attitude
· Confident individuals able to commit a minimum of six months to our collaborative efforts.
Duration: at least 3 working days per week in July and Aug (work from office), average 6 hours per week from September till the end of the 11th CSR event (work from home).
