Lead Communication Officer (Regional Lead Information Protection Officer) at BASF act as first point of contact in their area of responsibility for all matters regarding Cyber Security and Information Protection. They provide guidance and support to managers/employees with expert knowledge. Furthermore, they drive and coordinate the implementation of BASF Cyber Security Requirements into employees’ daily work and operational processes.
Job description
The Regional Information Protection Officer for China
-is the regional point of contact for the IPO community in China.
-is the regional link to the global IPO community management team.
-steers and supports all issues related to IPO activities in China.
For China, the Regional Lead IPO
-steers, leads and maintains the IPO community.
-plans, coordinates and conducts trainings for the IPO community and steers all regional activities.
-is the single point of contact for all questions from the community and facilitates regular exchange sessions.
-measures, monitors and reports key indicators.
-closely collaborates with other teams of the CISO organization on their activities (e.g. audit team, BASF Cyber Security Office, incident management team, …).
-develops and communicates regional-specific information for users and executives.
-supports projects/initiatives in the region to ensure compliance with BASF Cyber Security Requirements.
-provides feedback on unresolved issues and areas of improvement to the CISO organization.
-helps to increase security knowledge within the community and supports ensuring end-to-end Security.
-identifies training needs of community members and closely collaborate with the global IPO community management team.
-plans and aligns communication regarding training and awareness topics via internal communication channels and platforms, especially within the regional community.
-create and perform lectures, workshops and trainings for executives and employees.
Skills & experience
-Experience working in an international environment Mandatory:
-Experiences in managing communities
-Good understanding of business and IT processes
-Familiarity with digital technology
-Organized, detail-oriented and strong multi-tasking skills
-Strong organizational and time management
-Ability to work independent and creatively
-Practical experience in Cyber Security / Information Protection
-Good communication skills towards executives, employees and internal sub-teams
-Good didactic skills and experiences in creating and performing lectures, workshops and trainings for executives and employees
-Experiences in developing publications and supporting material for executives and employees
-Fluent Mandarin skills
-Strong written and verbal English skills
Nice to have:
-Cyber Security Certifications, e.g. CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
-Knowledge of ISMS and ISO27001
