Comments on the Second Call for Comments Draft on the Cosmetics Supervision and Administration Regulations (CSAR) By Ministry of Justice (MOJ)
Cosmetics Working Group submitted the comments on the Second Call for Comments Draft on CSAR by MOJ on 31 Aug. For this round of call for comments, MOJ only chose some associations and organizations to collect written comments, and EUCCC was one of the selected ones. It was a very good opportunity for members to raise concerns and make comments directly. Our comments was mainly about products management, ingredients management, equal treatment to imported products and information disclosure.

Representatives of Cosmetics Advisory Committed (CAC) organized the 6th Annual Regulatory Conferencein Guiyang, Guizhou province this year. Representatives from NIFDC, evaluation center and Shanghai FDA attended and discussed the revision work of Safety and Technical Standards of Cosmetics, concerns of the industry in terms of products registration and evaluation, and Pudong non special imported products notification pilot. It was a good meeting for both sides which enhanced the understanding between the regulators and the industry.
Chamber Presents Market Access Issues to State Council Inspection Team in Chongqing
On 29th August, Sally Huang, general manager of the European Chamber’s Southwest Chapter, attended the Foreign Investment Symposium with a State Council inspection team. Representatives from the State Council included Qingde Fu, inspector at the State Inspection Office, Yifei Wang, deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Department at the Ministry of Commerce, and Lei Yang, cadre of the Basic Industry Department at the Development and Reform Commission in Chongqing.
