Lobby Letter to CNCA on Measures for the Administration of Certification Agencies
On 14th November 2017, the AQSIQ together with CNCA issued the Measures for the Administration of Certification Agencies. The Chamber was involved in the process of drafting through submitting consolidated comments enclosed to AQSIQ in July 2017 and the dialogue with Director General Xu Xinjian of AQSIQ’s Department of Legislation and Regulations in September. However, the regulation itself failed to reflect the comments submitted by the Chamber and the comments agreed by the AQSIQ, in which case, the Chamber submitted a formal lobby letter to remind AQSIQ to include our comments and recommendations into the implementing rules or interpretation.
Comments on CNIS' Draft of National Standard <Indicators for Green City>
In November, the China National Insitute of Standardization (CNIS) issued the National Standard <Indicators for Green City> for public consultation.
The European Chamber's Construction Working Group, Environment Working Group, Standardisation and Conformity Assessment Working Group, European Wood Desk, Quality and Safety Services Working Group, on behalf of member companies, submitted their consolidated comments to CNIS.

The European Chamber conducted an Exclusive Dialogue with Mr Yang Hongcan, Director General, Antimonopoly and Anti-unfair Competition Enforcement Bureau of State Administration of Industry & Commerce (SAIC), to interpret the revised Anti-unfair Competition Law. DG Yang’s Bureau formulates specific antimonopoly and anti-unfair competition measures, carry out antimonopoly enforcement and initiate investigations into unfair competition practices, commercial bribery, smuggling, and other cases violating economic laws, and supervise the handling of serious and/or material cases.
