Meeting of the Consumable and Disposable Medical Device Advisory Committee (CDMD) GA Sub-group
The CDMD GA Sub-group, a committee for Consumable and Disposable Medical Devices, had a meeting on 26th January 2024. Two guest speakers, Kai Yang and Jun Liu from IQVIA, discussed trends and reforms in the medical devices industry. Yang talked about volume-based procurement (VBP) and the price catalogue for medical consumables in China, whilst Liu emphasised the importance of real-world evidence (RWE) in device approval decisions. Members expressed the need for a faster approval process and proposed a green channel for medical device products. The Chamber will further discuss and convey member opinions to relevant government departments.
