On 16th Feb 2023, European Chamber National President Joerg Wuttke, Vice President Massimo Bagnasco, Vice President Carlo D'Andrea, Southwest China Chapter General Manager Sally Huang, and the member delegation of European Chamber had a VIP meeting with Secretary of Chongqing Municipal Party Committee, Yuan Jiajun at Foreign Affairs Office of Chongqing Municipal People's Government.
The Secretary Yuan Jiajun welcomed chamber team, introduced Chongqing opportunities and the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle. The President Joerg Wuttke introduced chamber 2022/2023 Position Paper with key recommendations and briefed Chamber EU tour to Brussels this January as well. Member representatives also expressed their interests in Chongqing and thanked the Chongqing government for their support and help. Two sides expressed closer cooperation.
Exclusive VIP meeting with Sichuan Vice Governor Yang Xingping
On 15th Feb 2023, European Chamber National President Joerg Wuttke, Vice President Massimo Bagnasco and Southwest China Chapter General Manager Sally Huang had an exclusive VIP meeting with Sichuan Vice Governor Yang Xingping at Chengdu Jinjiang hotel.
The Vice Governor Yang Xingping welcomed chamber team, introduced Sichuan opportunities. The President Joerg Wuttke introduced chamber 2022/2023 Position Paper with key recommendations and briefed Chamber EU tour to Brussels this January as well. Two sides expressed closer cooperation.
Meeting with Sichuan Development & Reform Commission and CCPIT
On Feb 7th, 2023, Southwest China Chapter of European Chamber had a meeting with Sichuan Development & Reform Commission and CCPIT in Chengdu. During the meeting, Massimo and Sally introduced EU SME Centre and also addressed the main SME issues / suggestions.

On 13th January 2023, the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China (European Chamber) and the China Chamber of Commerce to the EU (CCCEU) jointly held a high-level EU-China Business Leaders Dialogue in Brussels, Belgium. Minister Peng Gang of the Chinese Mission to the EU delivered a keynote speech, while President Joerg Wuttke of the European Chamber and President Xu Haifeng of the CCCEU delivered welcoming remarks online. Zhonghua Xu, Chair of the Energy Working Group and Sarah Yu, Vice-Chair of the Environment Working Group of the European Chamber, offered their views and suggestions on the prospects of exploring cooperation between Chinese and European companies in the fields of sustainable development and ESG, respectively. The event was moderated by Adam Dunnett, Secretary General of the European Chamber, and Fang Dongkui, Secretary General of the CCCEU.
