Submitted comments to the People's Bank of China on the Anti-money Laundering Law (Revised Draft for Comment)
The working groups suggested to clarify roles and responsibilities, including for units and individuals. Other suggestions include narrowing the scope of the confidentiality obligation of the new law, make clear the name and specific supervision mode of the state anti-money laundering administrative department and to clarify the specific treatment methods of domestic foreign-funded institutions, that is, whether the existing unified anti money laundering compliance system of overseas parent banks can be used.

On 29 June 2021, the Energy Working Group sent a letter to the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) to draw attention to forced power shortages across Guangdong. These power shortages have caused some European Chamber members to involuntarily shut down production multiple times a week, a situation they cannot properly adapt to with the notice time they are given. The intent of these letters was to receive feedback on the following unknown points: how the power shortage issue is being addressed, how long the situation will last, and what measures are being taken to either provide more power to our members or ease the difficulty of stalled production.

China-Europe H2 Workshop | 2021中欧氢能产业研讨会
On 29th June, the China-Europe H2 Workshop, jointly organised by the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China and China Hydrogen Alliance, was held successfully in Suzhou and online. The workshop was a vital part of NEA’s International Dialogue on Energy Transitions 2021, as well as an annual flagship event of the China-Europe Energy Innovation Cooperation—Hydrogen Work Stream, aiming to build an international platform for technological and industrial exchange, and promote cooperation on hydrogen industry. More than 500 people participated including Chinese and European authorities, international organisations, local government officials and key industry players.

On 25th June, the Head of Government Affairs of European Chamber participated the quarterly roundtable with foreign companies organised by the China Council of Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT). There were more than 20 representatives from business organisations, foreign chambers and companies participated the discussion.
