On 30 April, European Chamber Vice President and Shanghai Chapter Chairman Carlo D'Andrea and Shanghai GM Dr Ioana Kraft joined the economic seminar ‘Why Portugal?’ on the occasion of the State visit of the President of the Portuguese Republic Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa and presented ther Shanghai Position Paper to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Portugal Augusto Santos Silva.
Meeting with Dongying Port Economic Development Zone Investment Promotion Bureau
On 29th April, European chamber met with a delegation led by Secretary Gou Zengjie, Hekou District Committee of CPC and Dongying Port Economic Development Committee of CPC to discuss how to cooperate with the European Chamber to attract investment from foreign-invested in petroleum refining and petrochemical industries. Secretary Gou pointed out that beneficial policies and government support from Dongying Port development zone government will be strong advantages to attract multinational companies and they welcomed European chamber and its member companies to visit the Zone. Ziting Zhang came up with potential areas which can be the bridge to establish collaboration. At the end of meeting, Chamber Secretary Adam Dunnett presented European Business in China Position Paper 2018/2019 to Secretary Gou.
