Dear Working Group member,
The European Chamber is pleased to invite you to the next joint Energy Working Group meeting. It will be held on Tuesday, 23 February, 12:00 noon-14:00 at the European Chamber Beijing office. The Shanghai Energy WG will join this meeting via teleconference.
At this meeting, we will give you an update on the election guidelines and the Working Group consolidation process.
We will also kick off the Position Paper (PP) 2016/2017 writing process by holding a discussion on the first draft , the so-called ‘mini PP’. The first draft needs to be submitted on Wednesday, 2 March 2016.
For this year’s PP, the Chamber’s Executive Committee (ExCo) has identified the 13th Five Year Plan (FYP) as the general theme. Please find attached a Bloomberg analysis on the subject for your reference, which could serve to guide your work (the general 13th FYI will be published around mid-March 2016, several sectoral FYPs have already been issued).
Tentative Agenda:
12:00 – 12:20: Update on the election guidelines and the Working Group consolidation process
12:20 – 14:00: Mini PP discussion
Chair / Vice Chair elections will be held in the second half of March 2016. During the election meeting, profound discussions will also take place on the Energy Position Paper.
As always, we welcome Working Group members’ suggestions for possible agenda topics and speakers for this and future Working Group meetings.
