Employers across China are faced with a January 1, 2008 date for the implementation of the Labour Contract Law. Many issues are still unresolved about the new requirements and how employers should comply. These issues include implementation of company rules, the role of unions, restrictions on fixed-term contracts, and the continued use of dispatched labor.
European Chamber Chengdu Chapter will hold a seminar in English in Chongqing and Chengdu respectively on the Labour Contract Law, with Mr. Jeffrey Wilson of at Baker and McKenzie, as a speaker.
