The China IPR SME Helpdesk partnered with the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China Tianjin Chapter and the German Chamber of Commerce to organize this training seminar for European SMEs on IP protection with regards to trademarks and patent.
During this afternoon session you will learn the following:
- how does trade mark protection relate to your branding strategy
- what are trademarks and how to protect them in China
- the basics of patent protection
China IPR SME Helpdesk Speaker:
Mr. Charles Feng, from East & Concord, was educated in top level law schools in the US and China. He is an IP specialist with substantial experience on intellectual property and anti-trust law in the past 15 years, focusing on IP litigation, IP transaction as well as patent and trademark portfolio management. Mr. Feng has represented a number of foreign clients from EU, the US and Japan at various levels of courts as well as enforcement agencies in China. He has been in the forefront of the law, being experienced in addressing clients' commercial needs in the areas of IP litigation and arbitration, including copyright, trademark, patent, and domain names, unfair competition, trade secrets and other dispute cases. In addition to his work in the courtrooms, he has been involved in IP transactional work, including the drafting, negotiation and enforcement of IP assignment or licensing agreements. Mr. Feng is also experienced in dealing with anti-trust law matters, particularly those relating to intersection of intellectual property law and antitrust law. The design patent infringement case handled by Mr. Feng has been listed as No. 1 of 50 exemplary cases by Supreme People’s Court of China in 2013.
