The Ministry of Public Security has recently announced that high-level foreign talent will enjoy a simpler application process for visas, immigration and permanent residence in Beijing. According to the Beijing Public Security Bureau, as of March 1st, 20 new policies have been implemented in accordance with this goal.
Many of these policies, particularly those relating to entrepreneurship and recently graduated talent, will initially be implemented in the Zhongguancun National Innovation Demonstration Zone on a pilot basis.
Another 10 policies, which have been implemented in Shanghai since July 1, 2015, have now also been rolled out in Beijing. These include allowing foreigners who meet certain requirements for wages and taxes to apply for permanent residence in China, allowing foreign students who graduated from Chinese universities to start enterprises in China, and allowing high-level foreign talent to hire foreign domestic workers in China.
The EU Chamber is delighted to welcome Dai Xin, from Exit-Entry Administration Division, Beijing PSB, to deliver a presentation on these new regulations and to answer your questions.
