On 12th April, 2016, the National Development and Reform Commission and Ministry of Commerce released a draft document as notification of the forthcoming release of the new market access Negative List (pilot). The list encompasses 328 items—of which 96 are prohibited and 232 restricted.
This list will be firstly implemented in 4 places (Tianjin, Shanghai, Fujian, and Guangdong) on a pilot basis. From 2015 to 2017, the Market Access Negative List will be implemented in part of China, accumulating experience and improving step by step, in order to formulate a unit mechanism.
The European Chamber is pleased to invite you to an Exclusive Dialogue with Mr. Song Gelong, Deputy Director General of Department of Economic System Reform, NDRC to know more about the Draft Negative List and its effect on foreign investment in China.
In addition to his role at NDRC, Mr Song currently serves as the Deputy Governor of the Shanghai Free Trade Zone where many of these pilot projects will be introduced.
