The Aviation & Aerospace Working Group would like to invite you to the next working group meeting, which will take place from 2-4pm, on Monday, May 30th. At this meeting, the working group secretariat will introduce the WG Task Force mechanism regarding how members can be involved to support the EU-China Aviation Partnership Project (APP).

The Working Group Secretariat Task Force is now open for European Chamber members to join. We strongly encourage participation from industry members with relevant experience and leadership in the field of APP’s focused areas, which include but not limited to:
Aviation Safety and Security
General aviation
Air Traffic Management/Air Navigation Services & Airports
Airworthiness
Environmental protection
Economic policy and regulation
Legislation and Law Enforcement.
Open Positions:
In response to EU-China APP’s focused areas, four task force teams will be set up to provide technical input and support on behalf of the working group secretariat during the proposal reviewing and screening process.
Aviation Safety, Security and Environment Task Force
General Aviation Task Force
High-level Dialogue and visibility Task Force
ATM/ ANS & airports Task Force
What does the task force team do?
The task force team will be responsible for reviewing and screening proposals from the industry regarding future APP activities. The attached slide illustrates the work process of the task force team. For each task force team, there are five positions open to join. All the positions are of voluntary nature. In principal, the task force team will meet up on a quarterly basis to conduct proposal review process. However, the task force team may be called for meetings to review urgent requests on an ad-hoc basis.
The outcome of the task force team’s work includes two aspects:
Industry endorsement of activity proposals for inclusion in APP work plan
Basis for EASA to discuss and agree activities with CAAC for next APP work plan
