The European Chamber Nanjing Chapter is pleased to invite you to the HR Forum meeting from 3:00 to 5:00pm on Thursday 14th July 2016 at the office of European Chamber Nanjing Chapter. During the meeting, we will share the experiences facing with the HR challenge brought by the newly introduced two-child policy in China.
Two-child policy is a hot topic in China since the beginning of the year. With regarding to the latest family-planning policy in China, all couples are allowed to have two children starting January 1, 2016. To encourage couples to have the second child, the government has issued a number of supporting policies.
Take maternity leave as example, female employees are entitled maternity leave at least 128 days with full pay. It is a big challenge for most employers. And, a number of provinces have introduced local incentive policies by pledging to extend maternity/paternal leave.
Meanwhile, law enforcement departments also reinforce their supervision over companies showing discriminative measures against women, and investigate discrimination cases upon request. If found, seriously punishment will be imposed.
In response, HR managers share the similar concerns as following:
- Performance management, position arrangement and job transfer due to the types of leaves (maternity, lactation leave, paternity leave, etc.)
-Cancellation or termination of labor contracts with female employee during three periods (pregnancy, prenatal or breastfeeding period)
-How to deal with the new challenges posed by the two child policies?
-Is there any new strategies and HR practices in other companies?
