The draft Cybersecurity Law will be China's first law specifically regulating the security of cyberspace. Currently, the 2nd reading draft has been released for public comments. Compared with the first draft, the new draft emphasizes the importance of data protection for key infrastructures and reinforces the responsibility for cybersecurity protection and punishment of law violation.
