Following the result of June’s referendum, when the UK decided to leave the European Union, it's only natural to ask: “What happens now?” These uncertainties extend to the type of alternative economic agreements / treaties that the UK will be able to put in place with the rest of the EU Member States as well as with the rest of world.
With Prime Minister Theresa May clearly stating that “Brexit means Brexit”, the future of the UK will depend on the new relationship it can forge with the EU. Many remain optimistic that it is highly probable that a favourable trade agreement would be reached as there are advantages for both sides in continuing a close commercial arrangement.
For multinational companies operating in China the great unknown is how Brexit will effect China’s globalization strategy with Europe and with the United Kingdom.
The European Chamber is delighted to welcome an esteemed panel to discuss the implications and consequences of a post Brexit world.
