We are pleased to invite you to the next Logistics Working Group meeting that will be held at the European Chamber in Shanghai on Tuesday, 20th June 2006 from 9.00-10.30am.
At this moment we are still waiting for the final confirmation of Mr. Hongjiang Dong from the Pudong Airport Authorities in charge of the new Terminal 2. Mr. Dong would share his insights on the blueprint of the new cargo handling area and explain how Shanghai will further boost its handling capacity.
The second half of this meeting we will be dedicated to the draft 2006 Position Paper. The Position Paper is the key tool of the Working Group, developing dialogue with authorities in China and Europe. The draft will be circulated ahead of our meeting, giving you the chance to prepare and discuss with your colleagues. The meeting will be more productive, and the papers of a higher quality, if you are able to give some consideration to the issues that affect your business operations in China. Please provide any input or feedback ahead of the meeting to Maurizio Andreano at mandreano@euccc.com.cn.
Topics included in the 2006 draft:
1.) Express Delivery Service
2.) Import Bonded Transportation
3.) NVOCC bond requirement
4.) Railway Transportation
5.) Business Scope of Logistics license
6.) Airfreight forwarding License
