2016 was an intense year for policymaking and reform in many logistics-related sectors, including shipping industry, express delivery, road transport and customs affairs. 2017 is critical as we will see the implementation of the new policies and a deepening of the reform. The Logistics Working Group is going to organise its first working group meeting in 2017 to discuss the challenges we will face in the years to come and our lobby strategy and focus in 2017.
In the meeting, 2017 Logistics Working Group Chair Election will also be organized. The Logistics Working Group Chair and Vice Chairs play a crucial role in driving the Working Group, which includes a leadership role in the drafting of the Position Paper, communicating key messages to Chinese and European government authorities and steering Working Group meetings.
Should you be interested in putting your name forward for election, please send a short biography and a motivation letter, stating whether you intend to run for Chair or Vice Chair and your visions to Mr. Xiaochen Ni at xcni@europeanchamber.com.cn and Mr. Ink Zheng at izheng@europeanchamber.com.cn by Friday, 24 February COB.
